Hesed Grace affirms the historic Christian faith expressed in the Nicene Creed and the Apostles’ Creed. We believe the full story of Scripture reveals God’s work of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration through Jesus Christ.
Creation
We believe in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe God created all people in His image and made us for relationship with Him.
We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant Word and is our authority for life and faith.
Fall
We believe sin has broken our relationship with God and that every person needs the grace of God.
We believe that the Bible teaches that, in the beginning, the man and woman God made to be in relationship with Him broke relationship by choosing to do what He told them not to do. This is known as sin.
We believe since this time, we have all made the same choice to live life in our own way, and our relationship with God is broken, and every person needs a way for the relationship to be restored. This only happens by God’s initiation of grace by sending His Son, Jesus.
Redemption
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.
He lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and makes forgiveness and eternal life possible through faith in Him alone.
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, guiding us into truth and helping us grow in holiness.
We believe in the Church, the body of Christ, and the call to worship, encourage one another, make disciples, and proclaim the hope of the gospel.
Restoration
We believe that we are living and waiting for Jesus to return and restore all things to how they were originally meant to be.
We believe that when Jesus returns, He will unite those who put their faith in Him to be with Him in heaven forever.
We believe those who don't put their faith in Him will live separated from Him for all eternity. This separation is known as hell.
We believe Jesus will return and restore all things forever.
Most of all, we believe faith is not only something we confess, but something we live as we invite others to come and see.
